Lightning send Tarnasky to Predators
for conditional pick

TAMPA BAY – The Tampa Bay Lightning have
acquired a conditional draft pick at the 2009 NHL Entry
Draft from the Nashville Predators in exchange for center
Nick Tarnasky, executive vice president of hockey operations
Brian Lawton announced today.
Tarnasky, a 6-foot-2, 224-pound native of
Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, was injured during Tampa
Bay’s training camp and did not play in the exhibition season.
He played in 80 games with the Lightning last season, recording
six goals and 10 points. Tarnasky scored one goal on the
power play and one game-winner.
The 23-year-old has played in 169 career
games, all with Tampa Bay. He has amassed 11 goals and 20
points in three seasons with the Lightning.
